  • Process new library acquisitions and assist with copy cataloging of books and other library materials
  • Input and update serial holdings in Workflows system, and maintain the serial Kardex file
  • Prepare serials for the bindery and update serials in Workflows as they are returned from the bindery
  • Assist patrons with locating materials, reference questions, using the online catalog, and other electronic resources
  • Perform circulation and service desk duties using an automated system to register new borrowers, check out, and check in library materials
  • Shelving and shelf reading of library materials
  • Create library brochures and subject guides
  • Conduct information literacy sessions for faculty and students
  • Participate in designing exhibits relevant to faculty publications and faculty and student research
  • Inventory and prepare finding aides for the Black Librarians Collection located in the School of Library and Information Science Archives

  • Library management and programming duties with the branch manager and librarians
  • Assisted patrons with locating materials, reference questions, using the online catalog, and other electronic resources
  • Assisted in reader’s advisory services and created Booklist’s.
  • Participated in collection development including processing acquisitions, inventory maintenance, and weeding
  • Performed circulation and service desk duties using an automated system to register new borrowers, check out, and check in library materials.
